Poland: new ASF outbreak in the west
4 new outbreaks of African Swine Fever (ASF) in pig herds have been confirmed in Poland, reaching the number of 86 outbreaks this year. The affected farms are located in the east of Poland, but one was also noted in the west, in the buffer zone.
The Chief Veterinary Officer informed about the designation of new outbreaks of African swine fever (ASF) in pigs in the territory of the Republic of Poland. The outbreaks were confirmed in backyard and medium-size commercial farms in 3 provinces Poland: Lubelskie, Podkarpackie and Wielkopolskie.
- Outbreak no. 83 was found on the farm where 81 pigs were kept, located in Pawlichy, Księżpol commune, Biłgorajski district, Lubelskie province.
- Outbreak no. 84 was found on a farm where 117 pigs were kept, located in Zamch, Obsza commune, Biłgorajski district, Lubelskie province.
- Outbreak no. 85 was found on the farm where 158 pigs were kept, located in Piwoda, Wiązownica commune, Jarosław district, Podkarpackie province.
- Outbreak no. 86 was found on a farm where 39 pigs were kept, located in Perzyny, Zbąszyń commune, Nowy Tomyśl district, Wielkopolskie province.
