5th edition of GreenTech Americas a big success!
From March 25 - 27 the 5th edition of GreenTech Americas took place in the city of Querétaro, Mexico. The event was once again the meeting place for professionals involved in technology, innovations, and other solutions for protected horticulture in Mexico and the rest of the Americas.

A busy show
From the inauguration of the event on the first day until the afternoon of the last day, there were many visitors for the more than 230 exhibitors of the event. Both floors of the Querétaro Centro de Congresos had a big variety of companies that all contribute with their specific solutions to the thriving protected horticulture sector in Mexico. Visitors did not only have the chance to get in touch with these companies, but could as well join the interesting conference program with topics such as autonomous greenhouse cultivation, Artificial Intelligence, water and the ornamental sector. They could also see company presentations at the GreenTech stage and extend their network.

Dutch presence
The Dutch horticultural sector is a global leader. Dutch knowledge and expertise are highly sought after internationally. This offers plenty of opportunities for Dutch entrepreneurs and explains why among the international exhibitors there were more than 50 Dutch companies with a stand. These companies could easily be identified by the orange NL floor sticker.
Apart from the individual companies there was an NL Lounge. The NL Lounge was organized by AVAG Dutch Greenhouse Technology Center, the Netherlands Embassy in Mexico, and the Netherlands Business Support Office. The lounge was a perfect spot for people to meet each other, and learn more about certain topics and activities during MeettheXpert sessions. Some examples of the sessions were the water footprint study which is currently in process, the development of a new Agropark in Morelia, and the upcoming irrigation mission our team will organize later this year.
At the NL lounge people could also get in touch with the winner of the start- and scale-up challenge, Voltiris, and a Dutch ornamental company.
