The Agricultural Export Portfolio of Ukraine serves as a key tool for the development and promotion of the agricultural sector on the international stage, helping farmers discover new opportunities for selling their products. The document offers detailed information on various export categories such as grain crops, vegetable oils, animal products, vegetables, fruits, fish products, and more. One of the innovations in this edition is an analysis of the logistics routes for Ukrainian agricultural products from 2021 to 2023. "Ukraine is currently one of the key players in the global agricultural market, supplying a wide range of products to around 170 countries worldwide. Of particular importance is cooperation with European partners. For instance, in 2021, trade with the EU accounted for $7 billion (27.7%) out of a total of $27 billion, while in 2023, this figure rose to 56.8%. This underscores that the EU has become a crucial direction in the development of Ukrainian agricultural exports," noted Oleksandra Avramenko, Head of the UCAB European Integration Committee.

The year 2023 marked a critical turning point for Ukraine’s agriculture. Following Russia’s withdrawal from the Black Sea Grain Initiative in July, the situation with Ukrainian agricultural exports became significantly more challenging. However, thanks to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the support of international partners, a maritime logistics corridor was opened, allowing the resumption of grain and other cargo exports to traditional markets. This strengthened the resilience of Ukrainian farmers and ensured stability in global markets for grains and oilseeds.

It is important to note that the success of Ukraine’s agricultural exports largely depends on cooperation with the European Union. The logistics routes through the “Solidarity Lanes” and duty-free access to the EU market are critically important for stabilizing the agricultural sector and strengthening Ukraine’s macro-financial resilience.

“We are grateful to our European and international partners for their continued support of Ukraine’s agricultural sector during the war. Alternative logistics channels, financial and humanitarian assistance to Ukrainian farmers, and expanded market access—all these measures make a vital contribution to the stability of agricultural exports,” added Oleksandra Avramenko.

UCAB also expresses its sincere gratitude to the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine and the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine for their active support and expert assistance in preparing and developing this portfolio.
