Smart Poultry World exhibition and conference in Bulgaria
The platform connects suppliers of technologies, equipment, products and know-how and poultry producers and key stakeholders, with innovation, sustainability and animal welfare being the three main themes of the event.
Between coming 10th and 11th of September, Inter Expo Center Sofia will host Smart Poultry World exhibition and conference – a poultry forum, which provides farmers with the knowledge, tools, and network needed to find optimal solutions to current and future problems. The event is organized by BulX in partnership with Bulgarian Poultry Union (BPU) - the biggest branch association in Bulgarian poultry sector having many of the largest companies (incl. suppliers) as members. It is built on the foundation of a multi-decade tradition of industry gatherings and collaboration established by the BPU and now provides a unique new platform for the broader poultry industry - in Bulgaria and abroad - to interact, learn, and grow.
The Conference
Smart Poultry World delivers expert strategy and insight on the ideas and technologies poultry producers need to know in order to plan, manage, and optimize their farms. There will be three main theme segments:
- Animal Welfare - new housing systems and infrastructure; vaccine innovation; preventative medicine; choosing the best remedial efforts; animal welfare regulations and requirements
- Sustainability (Green Farming) - renewable energy integration approaches; strategies to improve; energy efficiency; circular economy; data analytics and reporting; sustainability consulting and advice
- Innovation (Smart Farming) - best practices in farm automation; monitoring and alerts; deploying IoT devices; applying AI to everyday problems; remotely manage infrastructure; utilizing the power and ecosystem of the cloud
The Exhibition
The event will be held in the main an most modern exhibition center in Bulgaria – Inter Expo Center, on 2500 square meters of exhibition space located next to the conference hall and organized in about 50 separate stands with different sizes and settings, flexible to exhibitor’s preferences. The partnership with the Bulgarian Poultry Union and its 70 members, including the largest poultry farmers in the country, places the forum in a unique position to influence the modernization, automation and digital transformation of poultry farming. Traditionally, among the exhibitors are leading international and Bulgarian suppliers in the poultry industry.

Poultry is among the most developed, modernized, industrialized, concentrated, and professional branches in Bulgarian agriculture. Favored by the an abundant and relatively affordable local production of grains and feed, it also successfully competes on foreign markets. Apart from grains and oilseeds, poultry is among the very few agri-food categories where Bulgaria has consistent and substantial positions in international trade.
