Economy ministry selects 23 Ukrainian banks to implement state program on supporting agricultural manufacturers
As of May 8, the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine signed a memorandum with 23 Ukrainian banks to implement a state program to support agricultural producers, the press service of the ministry told Interfax-Ukraine.
"The memorandum provides for integrating efforts of the ministry and authorized banks in creating favorable conditions in the financial and credit support of agricultural producers in order to implement certain areas of financial support under budget program KPCCCVK 1201150 Financial Support for Agricultural Manufacturers," the ministry's press service said.
The list of authorized banks includes PrivatBank, Oschadbank, Ukreximbank, Ukrgasbank, Alfa-Bank, Raiffeisen Bank Aval, OTP Bank, FUIB, Credit Agricole Bank, Kredobank, Pravex-Bank, Megabank, Eastern Ukrainian Bank Grant, Radabank, MTB Bank, Motor-Bank, as well as the following banks: Globus, Pivdenny, Vostok, Lviv, Alliance, Agroprosperis and Clearing House.
The ministry's press service said that the banks were selected in accordance with the procedure for selecting banks through which pensions, cash assistance and salaries are paid to employees of budgetary institutions, approved by cabinet resolution No. 12301 dated September 26, 2001.
According to the statement, the program provides, in particular, state support for the development of livestock production and processing of agricultural products, financial support for the development of farms, partial compensation for the cost of agricultural machinery and equipment, manufactured in Ukraine, as well as financial support for activities in the agricultural sector by easing of credits.
"The use of funds in the above areas of state financial support is carried out in accordance with the procedure approved by the government, providing for the allocation of budget funds through authorized banks," the ministry's press service said.
