Two large potato producers plan to build factories in Ukraine to produce French fries
Next year, Vegetable Group and Adelaide will open production facilities in Zhytomyr region in Ukraine. Recently, Vegetable Group sent a shipment of frozen fries from its new plant in Chernihiv to Israel.
Background information:
During the couple of last years 2 PSD (Private Sector Development) projects supported by the Dutch Government in Ukraine have been succesfully implemented.
The first project was focused on the improving of the quality of ware potato and production technologies of UA growers (with Delphy). The second, which has been recently implemented by NAO is a road map for the export of potato products from Ukraine. This document is already available for the Ukrainian potato sector and was presented during the recent Dutch-Ukrainian Potato Forum in Kyiv.
