The analytical review prepared by the KSE Agrocenter in cooperation with the USAID AGRO Program

The farmland market volume in Ukraine has grown by over 30% since the beginning of 2024, and prices are at their highest since the market's inception, according to an analytical report by the KSE Agrocenter and the USAID AGRO Program.

The weighted average price for farmland sales in July 2024 was 46.0 UAH per hectare (roughly one thousand euros), which (in domestic currency) is 4.5% higher than in June and 1.5% higher than in May of this year.

Overall, since the market was opened to legal entities on January 1, 2024, agricultural land prices have increased by 24% for all land types and by 19% for so-called "commercial" land.

In July 2024, the agricultural land market grew by 10.2% in terms of the number of sale agreements and by 4.3% in terms of the area of land in circulation compared to June 2024.

The area of land in circulation in July was 30.4% higher than the average monthly area in circulation in 2023.

Sale prices of agricultural land in July 2024 resumed growth after a slight decline in May-June and reached their highest levels ever (nominal prices, in domestic currency).

This is stated in a new analytical review prepared by the KSE Agrocenter in cooperation with the USAID AGRO Program.
