Also there was time to visit some of the producers if organic seeds Vitalis (Enza Zaden) and Agrico. Thank you again for your hospitality! Holland Pavilion at the Inprodmash&Upakovka 10-12 September 2019
10-12 September 2019 the Inprodmash&Upakovka trade fair was held in Kyiv. Annual fair Inprodmash&Upakovka is specialized in processing equipment for the meat processing, dairy, baking, confectionery, fish, canning, fat-and-oil, ice-cream industries, beverage production and bottling, fruit and vegetable processing. In 2019 the fair was visited by 7075 people – representatives on the Ukrainian food sector business. Inprodmash&Upakovka is one of the best ways to present new company before entering the market itself. It is also an easy way to make short market analysis and to have direct contact with your potential clients. Companies that are doing successful business in Ukraine for many years never miss a chance to remind about themselves at Inprodmash&Upakovka with a bigger stand each year. It is always a good idea to meet your clients and speak with them
This year Holland Pavilion was organized by Food Tech Link - private partnership of a group of commercial Dutch companies, with the support of the Agricultural counsellor and the Embassy of the Netherlands in Ukraine. Dutch companies that were represented during the fair: Colubris Cleantech, Lekkerkerker, Unifreezing/Van Abeelen, Dutrion, E van Wijk, HOS BV, JASA Packaging Solutions, Kiremko, Lenssen Vul- en Sluittechniek & Lenssen Trading Company, Marel meat, Metaflex, Mush Comb, Omori Europe, Oost Nl, Plastic Frost, RBK Food Projects, Sormac, Tolsma-Grisnich.
Four members of the Food Tech Link: Lekkerkerker Dairy & Food Equipment, Unifreezing B.V., van Abeelen, and our new member Colubris Cleantech B.V., were present during the exhibition personally or by their agents. Each of the companies had positive feedback with regards to contacts made during three days of the fair. Surprisingly, but many of Ukrainian businessmen chose the third day of the exhibition to visit the fair, so we as organizer concluded that for the Dutch companies better to have a stand and being presented all three days.
In 2018 export of agricultural & food products accounted for 40% of the total Ukrainian export. Ukraine entered the top five largest suppliers of agricultural & food products to the EU countries. According to the results of 2018, the Ukrainian export of agricultural & food products to the EU countries increased by 8.7% compared to 2017. Ukraine has become a world player in the agricultural business and shows a steady trend in growth. During the exhibition opening of the Chinese meat market for the three meat processors from Ukraine was announced.
Ukrainian business has strong willingness to invest in the added value product instead of focusing on raw materials export. Growth of the food industry and competitiveness of domestic food products inherently involve upgrade of equipment and introduction of the latest technologies the main goal for the Ukrainian business.
New Government has strong ambition in helping Ukrainian business to develop their export capacity and volumes. In 2020 the land market should be officially released. It is the best period to invest in Ukraine or to present your company to enter the market. As a conclusion, Inprodmash&Upakovka trade fairs are a good platform demonstrating the scientific achievements in the fields of equipment, technologies and materials (including packaging ones) for the food processing industry. This is a perfect opportunity for communication of leading experts from all around the world, search for new partners and establishment of new business contacts.
There are reasons enough for the Dutch equipment suppliers to be presented on the Ukrainian market and promote their technologies in the coming years. Taking into account the forecasts for the Ukrainian economics, we can say already now that competition for the Ukrainian food sector will be tough.
