Largest Iranian Agrofood Export Terminal Inaugurated
A new agrofood export terminal was recently inaugurated by the Iranian President. The terminal, covering 31,000 hectares of land, is located in the northern Caspian Sea city of Jouybar. The first phase of this project is expected to have a capacity for 364,000 tons of goods for freezing, processing, packaging, and exporting.
Situated on the coast of the Caspian Sea, this center is in a strategic position to expand Iran's supply chain and export capabilities by opening the Caspian Sea route as a viable channel for the export of agrofood goods and services to Russia, CIS countries, and perhaps even to Europe.
