Bulgaria COVID-19 update on 2 June
Dutch citizens can enter Bulgaria without a requirement for quarantine as of 1 June.
- Simplified rules for entry into Bulgaria from June 1. The citizens of Austria, the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Greece, Denmark, Romania, Estonia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Hungary, Finland, Cyprus, France, Latvia, Croatia, Lithuania, Czech R, Luxembourg, Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein, Switzerland, San Marino, Andorra, Monaco, the Vatican, Serbia and North Macedonia can enter the country from all border checkpoints without quarantine.
- Bulgaria lifts ban on conferences, seminars and exhibitions as of May 30. Attendance at such events must be limited to 30 per cent of the normal seating capacity of the venues.
- Cereals: Yields will be 30% down. The forecast of the farmers is that the yields will amount to 4.2-4.3 million tons in 2020. Some 2800 ha failed completely due to draught.
- Over 40% of the Bulgarian oil rose crop to remain unharvested this year. It is due to the low prices of raw materials caused of the COVID-19 driven economic crisis combined with the local overproduction.
