Bulgarian meat and milk council established
The Council will be in charge of devising policies for the sector's development with a view to improving the image of Bulgarian-made products and promote their export.
A Meat and Milk Council was set up under the Ministry of agriculture, food and forestry, the Ministry reported.

The Meat and Milk Council will be chaired by Deputy Agriculture, Food and Forestry Minister Krum Nedelkov. Formal letters are to be sent to interested sectoral associations inviting them to propose representatives to the new entity. The Council will comprise meat and milk processors and experts from the scientific community, Minister Hristo Bozukov said, speaking at a sectoral meeting. "Bulgarian production should be supported and promoted,"
Bozukov said. He noted that food control is an important instrument which should be used to protect consumers' health.
