Uzbekistan’s delegation meets with AERES in the Netherlands
On February 17, a delegation from Uzbekistan, led by Deputy Minister of Agriculture Alisher Shukurov, visited Barneveld, Netherlands. As part of the visit, the delegation held a productive meeting with representatives of AERES, a leading Dutch institution specializing in agricultural education and training.

The discussions focused on expanding bilateral cooperation and exploring opportunities to bring AERES expertise to Uzbekistan. Key topics included the establishment of joint educational institutions in the agricultural sector, the creation of a training and development center for farmers and agribusiness professionals, and advanced capacity-building programs to enhance skills across various fields of agriculture.
Additionally, the parties explored possibilities for Uzbek students to study in the Netherlands, gaining access to world-class agricultural education, as well as potential employment opportunities within the Dutch labor market.
This collaboration marks an important step in strengthening Uzbekistan’s agricultural education system and fostering international partnerships for sustainable sectoral growth.
