The poultry sector in Bosnia-Herzegovina is growing rapidly and simultaneously needs to adapt to EU production standards in the field of sustainability, food safety, and animal health and welfare. Are you representing a Dutch company that can help tackle these societal challenges? Then join us for our trade mission from May 14-16!

Bosnia and Herzegovina's poultry sector is growing rapidly - by as much as 17% by 2022 - to meet growing regional demand for poultry meat and eggs. At the same time, the country is preparing to join the EU, which will require the sector to adapt to EU regulations and production standards on food safety, animal health and welfare, and the environment. This growth and sustainable modernization drive will bring opportunities for cooperation.

Companies participating in the mission will:

  • Get a good insight into doing business in Bosnia-Herzegovina in a short time;
  • Get an idea of how your company can further help make the poultry sector in the country more sustainable and increase animal health and welfare standards;
  • Get a good overview of the state of play of the sector, by visiting multiple poultry farms;
  • Get access to the International Poultry Congress, which takes place in the same period in Sarajevo and attracts poultry stakeholders from the wider Western Balkans;
  • Be given a platform at the International Poultry Congress to share what your company has to offer;
  • Have plenty of opportunities to network to find new partners and potential customers in the country and the wider region.
