Vegetarian meals in Polish kindergartens and schools. A pilot project in a Polish city
A pilot project to expand the offer of school meals with vegetarian dishes is being launched in Wrocław. At first it will be implemented in eleven kindergartens and school-pre-school complexes, the city announced.
Deputy Mayor of Wrocław, Ryszard Kessler noted that vegetarian menus will be prepared in accordance with the current nutritional standards for children in each age group. Whether a child will benefit from them will be decided by parents on the basis of a written declaration. In the establishments participating in the pilot, parents have already been informed of this additional option.
With the potential success of the project comes the idea of expanding the pilot.
