Poland in the top 10 largest potato producers in the world. It is ahead of the Netherlands
China has become the world's top potato producer, contributing as much as 93 million tons of global supply.

- Russia : 19,327,000 tons
- Germany : 10,497,430 tons

- Poland : 8,200,000 tonnes
- Netherlands : 7,885,000 tons
If you look at the list in terms of continents, Asia becomes the undisputed leader. Europe comes in second, followed by North America and Africa. FAOSTAT data from 2023 shows that the total potato area harvested was 16.8 million hectares. However, this is a decrease, as in 2022 the area was 18.1 million hectares. Smaller area, however, does not mean smaller yields. These increased to a value of 383 million tons. In 2022, it was 376 million tons.
