Kazakhstan increases poultry meat production by nearly 10%
According to the statistical agency, the volume of poultry meat production in Kazakhstan increased by 9.4% from January to November 2024 compared to the same period in 2023. During this period, domestic enterprises produced 326.3 thousand tonnes of products.
Poultry meat exports increased by 34.2%. In the first eleven months of 2024, 38 thousand tonnes of products were shipped abroad, while in the same period last year, exports amounted to 28.3 thousand tonnes.
Imports showed a decrease of 10.7%. During the specified period, the country received 121 thousand tonnes of products.
In the domestic market of Kazakhstan, 409.3 thousand tonnes of poultry meat were sold in 11 months of 2024, which is 1% more than in the corresponding period of 2023 (405.4 thousand tonnes).
As has been reported earlier, Kazakhstan plans to get rid of its dependence on the import of poultry meat within several years and become its exporter. To reach this goal, according to Deputy Prime Minister Serik Zhumangarin, more than 30 projects for the construction of poultry farms are being implemented in the country.
