Saudi Arabia is witnessing transformative growth in fisheries and aquaculture. Over the past seven years, aquaculture production has increased by an impressive 400%, reaching nearly 120,000 metric tons of shrimp, marine fish and freshwater fish in 2022. With ambitious targets of producing 600,000 tons by 2030, the Kingdom is investing heavily in research and development, sustainable marine resource management and advanced aquaculture technologies. These initiatives align with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, focusing on boosting local seafood consumption, driving exports, reducing dependence on imports and creating stable employment opportunities while ensuring environmental sustainability.

The conference and exhibition are ideal for Dutch professionals from:

  • Aquaculture and fisheries industries
  • Seafood processing and export/import sectors
  • Maritime Industry
  • Algae technology and Marine environmental consulting

In addition to networking opportunities, SIMEC will feature workshops, live cooking experiences, and B2B and B2G meetings to create meaningful connections between decision-makers and industry experts.
