Networking Event opened by our Ambassador in Colombia Reina Buijs
During the event we held a networking event, opened by our Ambassador of the Netherlands in Colombia, Reina Buijs, who gave a welcoming speech, emphasizing the country's commitment to the development of the agricultural sector in Colombia.
The ambassador mentioned how, despite being a small country, the Netherlands has managed to position itself as one of the largest agricultural exporters in the world, thanks to its innovative and sustainable approach. She also highlighted Colombia's role as a key market for Dutch technological solutions and knowledge due to its commitment to sustainability and innovation in the sector.
The speech focused on the importance of working together to address global agricultural challenges, promoting more circular, productive and sustainable approaches. In addition, attendees were invited to explore the solutions presented by the participating Dutch companies, each of which was briefly highlighted for their contribution to the sector, from improved seeds to farm automation and lighting technology.
Her message captured the attention of visitors and authorities, creating a favorable environment for exchange and collaboration. Among those attending the cocktail reception we counted with the presence of people from local governments such as the Governor of the Department of Casanare, Mr. Cesar Ortiz (in the photo to the right of the ambassador) and his team.
