Plums from Kyrgyzstan may start being exported to China, Turkey and Uzbekistan
During a visit to the Osh region, Kyrgyz Minister of Agriculture Bakyt Torobaev held a meeting on the processing and export of plums, as reported by the Ministry of Agriculture's press service.
Representatives of companies involved in the processing and export of this crop participated in the meeting. Data on the export, sale, and production of plums were discussed, and several decisions were made.
Torobaev noted that the state pays special attention to the processing of agricultural products and expressed readiness to support entrepreneurs and farmers.
Following the meeting, the issue of constructing plum processing and prune production facilities in the Aksy and Ala-Buka districts of the Jalal-Abad region was raised, along with the provision of preferential loans for these enterprises. Additionally, the export of plums to China, Turkey, and Uzbekistan was discussed.
