Rajpol's new investment in Poland

The Rajpol Fruit Producers Group has opened a fruit processing and drying plant near Grójec. It will produce apple flakes and cubes.

Such flakes or cubes are an important component of food products — e.g. muesli, mixes or bars.

"The drying plant's capacity is 5 thousand tons of finished product per year," the company reports. Such flakes or cubes are a way to use the surpluses that arise during apple production.

"In the orchards of the Rajpol Group n we produce almost 60 thousand tons of apples per year. We also sell our apples on markets such as India, Colombia, the Middle East and Africa. However, there is still a need to manage the surplus of domestic apples, hence the idea to open a fruit processing and drying plant. Some time ago we invested in the Pola brand, under which we plan to develop a portfolio of fruit-based snacks," says Hubert Woźniak, president of the Rajpol Fruit Producers Group.

"The fruit processing and drying plant will contribute to reducing the surplus of apples and will give us a good quality Polish product," says the Minister of Agriculture, Czesław Siekierski. Rajpol is one of the largest Polish groups of fruit producers, comprising 160 fruit growers who grow fruit on an area of over 1.8 thousand hectares.
