Successful 1st Thai - Dutch cooperation in the conference “Innovation for Resilient Agriculture” in Chiang Mai
Chiang Mai Province, Thailand welcomes 200 international participants and the Netherlands Delegation at Agricultural International Conference; Innovation for Resilient Agriculture 2022 in October 2022.
“Global agriculture is facing challenges due to climate change. Innovation in agriculture can mitigate the negative impact of these challenges while increasing the effectiveness of the agri-food production value chain for food security is necessary, accessibility to food must be taken into account. The Faculty of Agriculture, Chiang Mai University, recognises the importance of resilient innovation in agriculture. Our vision, smart agriculture for a better life, aims to use agricultural innovation to improve the well-being of people across the globe via research collaboration and information. The 1st Thai – Dutch Conference on Innovation for Resilient Agriculture 2022 provides remarkable knowledge and experiences sharing on innovative sustainable agri-food systems.” said Dr. Tonapha Pusadee, Associate Dean for Research and Innovation from Chiang Mai University during the Conference.
The 3 days “Agricultural International Conference; Innovation for Resilient Agriculture 2022” in Chiang Mai is organized by the Faculty of Agriculture, Chiang Mai University (www.cmu.ac.th). The Netherlands Delegation has been invited by Chiang Mai University to actively participate. The Dutch guest speakers are Gijs Theunissen DVM, Agricultural Counsellor; Prof. Dr. Jaap A. Wagenaar, Utrecht University; Victor J. van den Heuvel, Green Eco Furnance B.V.; Menno Keppel, Agri Solutions Asia Co., Ltd. and Prof. Dr. Andy Nelson, University of Twente who deliver a keynote virtually from the Netherlands. Thanks Prof. Emeritus Dr. Attachai Jintrawet for being the moderator. More than 200 audiences from 9 countries are attending the Conference. A lively exchange and discussion during Q&A with audiences and the Dutch speakers are observed and focused on improvement of sustainable agriculture.
