Saline agriculture mission to Morocco
In the context of climate Change and increasing (fresh) water scarcity, Soil and Water Salinity are becoming a challenge for many farmers around the world. As part of its effort to promote sustainable agriculture, the NL Embassy in Morocco organized a mission on Saline Agriculture.
Dutch experts of AcaciaWater and SaltDoctors had the occasion to meet with their colleagues of INRA,ORMVAm ANDZOA and UM6P.
They also visited different locations with distinct sources and manifestations of salinity in the regions of Errachidia, BenGuerir and Agadir.
The mission explored possibilities for cooperation projects that could contribute to preventing, mitigating and adapting to salinity.
It had also identified salt affected locations that are suitable for future demonstration activities.”
