Survey: just 18% of Romanians buy dairy from local farmers
Most Romanians prefer to buy dairy products from supermarket and hypermarket chains, to the detriment of farmers' markets or convenience stores, a survey by Reveal Marketing Research shows.
On average, 57% of Romanians prefer to buy dairy products from supermarkets, while just 18% buy dairy from farmers' markets and 16% prefer their local convenience stores.
The survey showed 16% of Romanians consume dairy products daily or almost daily, and 19% consume them two or three times a week.
In terms of brand loyalty, 36% of Romanians buy the same brand of dairy products regardless of sales promotions, while 46% alternate brands depending on sales promotions and 12% shop for dairy depending on promotions.
