Competition for the best fish farmer in Kenya
To boost the first professional and practical training platform for aquaculture in Eastern Africa, the Aquaculture Academy, the Best Farmer Competition was set up to find the most innovative fish farmers.
For who?
This competition is for commercial fish farmers as well as students in universities (small or large scale), TVETs and other institutes who study aquaculture related courses. The awards you can win are essential for professional fish production. All applicants can participate in our interactive webinar (April 16) and meet stakeholders from the sector. They will receive personal coaching from the jury (professionals in aquaculture, feed suppliers, and investors).
The winner will be chosen and celebrated during the festive opening ceremony on May 7. Are you interested? Sign up now to share your views and win professional training, high-quality feed, AquaCare tools and more!
>> Apply via www.foodtechafrica.com/bestfarmer before April 9th. <<

The Competition is sponsored by the Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Skretting, Unga Feed Factory, Lattice Aqua, Larive International and Kamuthanga Fish Farm.
The Aquaculture Academy is the first professional & practical training platform for aquaculture in Eastern Africa. The Aquaculture Academy is founded by the partners of the FoodTechAfrica consortium. With plenty of experience in the aquaculture sector, the consortium partners have identified the lack of practical skills as the key deterrent for profitable and sustainable aquaculture farming in East Africa. The Aquaculture Academy aims to train and build ‘aquapreneurs’ who can run a sustainable and profitable business, inspire others to become fish farmers, and spur economic prosperity throughout the sector. Launching in early 2021, the AA will position itself as the preferred aquaculture learning institution in the region.
