Slovakia: ASF infected boar found near Kosice
A carcass of a boar infected with the African swine fever virus (ASF) has been found near the city of Kosice, the Agriculture Ministry reported on Monday, explaining that this is the first time an ASFV positive boar was found in the immediate surroundings of the city as similar cases have been previously reported only in neighbouring districts.
The ministry added that veterinary authorities have registered a total of 213 ASF positive boars up to this point. The first case was reported on July 25, 2019 in Trebisov district (Kosice region).
