The Royal Netherlands Embassy in Lima is looking for an Agricultural Advisor
The Agricultural Attaché Network (LAN) represents the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality worldwide at the Netherlands embassies in the areas related to Agriculture and Nature. The LAN network makes an essential contribution to strengthening the international position of the Netherlands in the areas of Agriculture – including innovation and knowledge – and Nature and Biodiversity.
The working area of the LAN in Bogota is Colombia, Peru and Ecuador. Major focus areas are market access and SPS matters, circular agriculture, sustainable agricultural production chains, nature and biodiversity and supporting Dutch agribusiness companies and knowledge institutes. The office was only opened recently (September 2017) and now LAN Bogota is looking for a colleague to join and enforce the team in Lima,Peru.
The new colleague we are looking for needs to have an educational background or experience in agriculture and must be fluent in both Spanish and English. Knowledge of the Dutch language will be a benefit in the selection procedure. Furthermore the new colleague needs to be pro-active, flexible and be able to work independently in a dynamic environment. Team work and collegiality is – an important - standard practice at the Embassy and LAN Bogota.

The selected candidate will get an employment contract (Spanish language) for determined period with a probation period of 2 months. Start is foreseen on March 1, 2020.
