Holland booth at Bengaluru Tech Summit, 18-20 November 2019
It is only a few days until a group of horticulture/agriculture companies and knowledge institutes will visit the Tech Summit in New Delhi and Bangalore. But the ‘Silicon Valley of India’ has more to offer: from 18 until 20 November, the Bengaluru Tech Summit (BTS) will take place. This annual event is organized by the Department of Information Technology, Biotechnology and Science & Technology of the Government of Karnataka.
Innovation and impact
The 22nd edition will take place at Bengaluru Palace with the theme ‘Innovation & Impact 2.0’. It involves a conference, international exhibition, hackathon, drone race, experience zone and more. It focuses on the latest developments in IT, electronics and biotech such as Internet of Things, Blockchain, Robotics, BioAgri, Health & Wellness, Gene Editing, Biofuels, and Startups. The Summit brings together over 200 speakers, 200 startups, 250 exhibitors, 1.500 organizations and R&D labs, and 12.000 business visitors. This year the program also features dedicated sessions on technology in agriculture such as “Trends in Agriculture – From Chemical to Smart Biological Inputs” and “Intelligent Systems in Agriculture”.
Holland Booth
Over the past years, the Netherlands has been participating in the Summit mainly in the fields of medical care and cyber security. This year, the MoU between the Municipality of The Hague and the Department of Information Technology, Biotechnology and Science & Technology of the Government of Karnataka will be renewed at BTS, where AgriTech has been added as one of the themes.
There will be a Holland booth that can be used by Dutch organizations (as well as complimentary tickets for Dutch participants). In case of sufficient Dutch agrifood/horticulture participants, field visits will be organized.
