Romanian Meats Producer Ana Si Cornel Revenue Up 20% In H1
Romanian cold meats producer Ana si Cornel in Mizil, Prahova County, held by the Paraschiv family, ended the first half with 20% higher revenue than in the year-ago period. The growth was driven by the increase in the number of customers and by motivating employees, the company said.
“We had several customer, company development, brand and employee-oriented projects in the first half of 2018. Our challenges had to do with the human resource shortage and we developed projects to ensure the loyalty of our employees: motivation and internal promotion, bigger work space, improvement of benefits package, change of management approach,” said Carmina Paraschiv, general manager of the company that posted more than 165 million lei (EUR36 million) revenue in 2017. Business was up 3% over 2016.
Ana si Cornel has a 20,000 ton annual production capacity and more than 850 employees. The company has 90 stores and opened nine in the first half. Its products are available in both its own retail chain and in the stores of 3,000 customers, either local supermarkets or abroad.
