Alimentaria Barcelona energizes the food & drink sector
From April 16 to 19, Alimentaria was held in Barcelona, with a good participation of Dutch companies from several subsectors. The next edition will take place from April 20 to 23, 2020.
The food and beverage fair, held this year, for the first time, together with Hostelco, "has revalidated its leadership", its organizing committee declared , after accounting for an attendance of 150,000 professional visitors, 30% of them coming from 156 countries.
The simultaneous call of both exhibitions generated an economic impact of €200 euro and occupied an area of 100,000 m2.
The Dutch attendance remains constant. For the companies with a direct representation see the link below, although many other Dutch foodstuffs and beverages were present at the fair through their Spanish distributors. In addition, in the international pavilion, there was a collective stand with four companies.
Among a wide diversity of parallel activities, the Spanish governmental body responsible for research coordination, CDTI, and RVO announced a call for Project Outlines for joint R&D projects in Eurostars. In May 2018, RVO will organize a info meeting on this call for project outlines for Dutch applicants. More information will be provide through the website of RVO.
