Morocco, Spain's main supplier of fruit & vegetables
According to the sectoral organization Fepex, Morocco consolidated its position as Spain's main supplier of fruit and vegetables. From January to October, 2017, Moroccan exports to Spain worth 462.3 million euro.
These imports from Morocco increased by 36% over the same period of 2016.
In terms of volume, Spanish imports from Morocco are also on an upward trend, totaling 314,112 tons in 2017.
Last year, Morocco came ahead of France, Spain's second largest supplier of fruit and vegetables, followed by Portugal, the Netherlands and Belgium.
