Deze prijs werd vorig jaar gewonnen door Aldi voor de campagne rondom hun Oaklands Fun Size assortiment.

We are delighted to announce that entries for the Best Marketing Initiative To Children Award 2018 are now open!

Presented by Produce Business UK and The London Produce Show and Conference, the international competition will award one company or marketing organisation with its second annual International Award for Marketing Fresh Produce to Children.

The Best Marketing Initiative to Children award, sponsored by The Embassy of the Netherlands in the UK on behalf of the Dutch fresh fruit and vegetable sector, will be presented at The London Produce Show and Conference on June 7, during the Perishable Pundit's Thought Leader Breakfast Session at the Grosvenor House Hotel in Mayfair, London.

“One thing that unites us all is that everyone wants their children to grow up strong and healthy…  and that means more consumption of fruits and vegetables,” said Jim Prevor, Editor-in-Chief of Produce Business UK and the Founder of The London Produce Show and Conference, now celebrating its fifth year.

The winner must demonstrate a novel and exceptional marketing initiative that through effective communication has encouraged and raised the consumption of fresh fruits and vegetables among children. The competition is open to international fresh produce suppliers, marketing groups, retailers, foodservice operators and distributors, as well as charitable or government entities.

“Encouraging a healthy diet remains a shared interest for the Netherlands and the UK”, said Tim Heddema, Agricultural Counsellor at the Embassy of the Netherlands in the United Kingdom. “Increasing the intake of fresh fruit and vegetables is essential, especially for children, and it is equally essential that the marketing matches the high quality of the products on offer. As a major exporter of fresh produce, we are keen to see more and more people and companies within the industry finding their creative spark.”

The Best Marketing Initiative to Children award will showcase a range of successful global efforts to mobilise the younger generation to eat more fresh fruits and vegetables on a daily basis. The winner will be recognised as an industry leader for their inspirational marketing achievement to raise the profile and appeal of fresh produce among children.
