On February 1st 2018 the new tender for DHI opened for companies that wish to apply. The tender closes at March 29 2018 at 3pm.
The DHI scheme supports Dutch SMEs that would like to demonstrate their technology, invest in or execute a project in foreign markets and would like to assess the feasibility of the project. To determine whether a company is SME, companies can fill out the SME test.
The DHI scheme is open to projects in all sectors and target countries, with the exception of the Netherlands, overseas parts of the Dutch Kingdom and countries that are subjected to sanctions. The available budget for the first tender of 2018 is €2 million for DGGF-countries and €2,5 million for other countries.
3 Modules
The DHI scheme consists of 3 modules:
- Demonstration projects: presentation of a technology, capital goods or service in one of the DHI countries to demonstrate that it is effective and profitable under local circumstances. A demonstration project can subsidized for 50 percent of the total project costs to a maximum of € 200.000.
- Feasibility studies: assessment of the feasibility of a foreign investment in a product or service. The result of the study will be a business plan upon which the potential foreign buyer will base the investment decision. A feasibility study can subsidized for 50 percent of the total project costs to a maximum of € 100.000.
- Investment preparation studies: assessment of the technical and commercial feasibility of an investment in a company in one of the DHI countries. An investment preparation study can be subsidized for 50 percent of the total project costs to a maximum of € 100.000.
For all three modules the expected export within three year after finishing the project should be at least 10 times the amount of subsidy that is received. This does not apply to an investment preparation study in a DGGF-country.
