El Corte Inglés arrives in Cuba with its white label products
Since last December, the Spanish distribution chain has been selling food products of its Aliada and El Corte Inglés white label brands in two supermarkets of Havana.
As a result of an agreement with the Italian company Farmavenda, well connected with the Cuban government, pasta, sauces, soft drinks, vegetable and fish cans and pickles are available in Havana.
It is assured that this will be extended to a dozen more stores throughout this year and 2019.
Milan-based Farmavenda was created in 1983 focused on the pharmaceutical sector. Currently, it also has interests in other sectors such as energy, agriculture and food.
