Land consolidation in Turkey in line with 2023 targets
Land consolidation will be carried out in parallel with the irrigation projects. The General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works (DSI) of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry will implement land consolidation projects simultaneously with modern irrigation projects on an economically irrigable area of 8.5 million hectares parallel with the 2023 targets of our country.
Turkey has an approximately 28 million hectares of agricultural land, land consolidation and irrigation are the most important measures to increase productivity. 14.2 million hectares of agricultural land in the country is composed of areas suitable for land consolidation. In this context, land registration procedures on 3.6 million hectares have been completed.
