China scraps ban on Slovak & Czech poultry
Chinese customs authorities announced the cancellation of a ban on imports of Slovak and Czech poultry on Monday November 4.
Chinese customs authorities announced the cancellation of a ban on imports of Slovak and Czech poultry on Monday (November 4) after learning that there are no cases of avian influenza (bird flu) in Slovakia, TASR was told by the State Veterinary and Food Administration (SVPS) on Tuesday.
The ban, in effect since 2016, was scrapped on October 31, 2019.
The announcement has been published on the website of the General
Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China (GACC).
The Chinese authorities made this decision based on the successful results of a visit by Chinese experts to Slovakia between July 28 and August 6, 2019.
