The National Research Council of Thailand welcomes the Dutch Agricultural Counsellor at the NRCT Headquarters in Bangkok for a meeting to discuss jointly organizing the “Thai – Dutch Floriculture Forum 2024,” scheduled for Thursday, 24th October 2024, in Bangkok.
Thailand aims to be a Floriculture Hub
Thailand has the ambition to be a floriculture hub with more focus on international collaboration for an innovative and sustainable floriculture industry. Together with innovative and efficient logistics and distribution facilities, the Dutch greenhouse technology for horticultural production enables the Netherlands to export high-quality floricultural products to the worldwide market and become an international key player in the floriculture (and horticulture) sector. The Thai – Dutch Floriculture Forum 2024 will be a remarkable platform to share expertise between the Netherlands and Thailand, as well as Asia, on global trends and technological solutions for climate adaptation horticulture, especially ‘Controlled Environment Agriculture’ (CEA) for floriculture.
- Said Assoc. Prof. Dr. Klanarong Sriroth, Chair of the Research and Innovation Steering Committee on Economic and Agricultural Development Goals – NRCT, during the meeting.
The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Bangkok, together with the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) and the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI) Thailand, will jointly organize the “Thai – Dutch Floriculture Forum 2024” on Thursday, 24th October 2024, in Bangkok.
