Netherlands Pavilion in Taipei Food Show 2024
Last June, the Food Taipei Mega Show was successfully held in Taipei. This mega show consists of Food Taipei, Foodtech Taipei, Bio/Pharmatech Taiwan, Taipei Pack, and Taiwan Horeca. In this context, a Netherlands Pavilion was part of the show.
Facts of Taipei Food Show
The exciting four-day event, that began on June 26th and continued until June 29th, offered a platform for up to 1,170 exhibitors from 31 countries to showcase their products and services across 2,688 booths and attracted more than 47,000 professional visitors.
The Taipei Food Show features a vast array of food and beverage categories, and it hosts various seminars, workshops, and cooking demonstrations by renowned chefs, industry experts, and food influencers. These sessions offer valuable insights into the latest market trends, consumer preferences, and techniques shaping the food industry. This year, Food Taipei is centered around two key themes: 'Future Food' and 'Food Safety & Sustainability,' displaying a range of organic and plant-based foods, ESG business models, alternative food, and sustainable packaging.
NL Pavilion
The Netherlands Pavilion was one of the highlights of the national pavilion zone. It introduced sustainable and innovative brands to the Taiwan market, including Beemster Cheese, Lutece canned mushrooms, Cerelia poffertjes, FarmFrites, and DeZaan cocoa powder. Its high-quality raw materials, advanced production techniques, and strong brand image attract a strong consumer base in Taiwan.
TW Importation
The Netherlands exports several key agricultural products to Taiwan, as the Netherlands benefits from innovative agricultural practices, strong research and development capabilities, and efficient logistics and supply chain management. The top five agricultural products exported from the Netherlands to Taiwan include meat products, potato products, dairy products, cocoa powder, as well as beer.
