Spain: Green light to a free-range poultry macro farm in Toledo
The regional government of Castilla-La Mancha has given its approval to the environmental impact of a project submitted for the setting-up of a free-range poultry farm in Consuega (Toledo), which will produce 88,000 egg/day.
The company "Explotación Avícola Dorado, SL" has received green light from the environmental authorities of the region for the construction of four lodging facilities together with their outdoor spaces, for a total of 110,000 free-range lying hens which will produce 88,000 eggs per day.
The farm distance to the nearest urban area (Consuegra) is 6 km and its water consumption requirements amount to almost 30 cubic meters per day.
