Spain, second European market for Diageo

The world’s largest producer of spirits celebrates its 20th anniversary while its Diageo Ibérica division represents 20.5% of the company’s sales in Europa.
That figure means that, for Diageo, the Iberian Peninsula’s market is the second most important in Europe and with a 15% of its world market share.
Spain is a market with great potential, with one bar per 100 people and 82 million tourist last year.
The Spanish market is a leader in the commercialization of several of its brands of whisky as well as Baileys. A category for which the multinational continues betting since its last two releases have been two Premium whiskies.
In the spirits sector, Diageo is positioned as the third operator in Spain, with a share in value of 14.6% and 11.7% in volume.
