Green start-up sustainability forum in Romania
The second edition of the Green Start-Up Sustainability Forum & Awards, an event organized by Green Start-Up, a Romanian bilingual publication aimed at promoting sustainability and sustainable business development in Romania and CEE, took place on June 19th 2024 under the slogan ”The Creators of Positive Impact”. The purpose of the event was to exchange knowledge and good practices, find inspiration, discuss trends and opportunities and celebrate the sustainability innovators in Romania.
Good practices of the Dutch government
Sophie Neve, Counsellor for Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality For Romania, Bulgaria and Moldavia for the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands Bucharest, took the stage at the Green Sustainability Forum 2024 to talk about the bilateral relations between Romania and the Kingdom of the Netherland, and to share examples on how the Dutch government, as well as the entire Dutch society is responding to the challenges of our time concerning environmental issues, durable development and societal resilience.
Results, impact and possible outcomes
We can achieve real positive impacts in the communities where we both live and work. That is why the forum gathered relevant actors in both the public domain and the private sector, authorities that have the power to bring the changes needed so that Romania could become greener and more sustainable city by city, as well as experts from the corporate and startup worlds, as well as NGOs, that can explain what they are bringing to the table and the example that they are setting.
The goal of the Green Start-Up Sustainability Forum & Awards 2024 was to create a place of collaboration, commitment and engagement that drive our ambitious goal: to accelerate and scale groundbreaking solutions to address Romania’s environmental challenges.
