Selling price for Romanian pig farms
CITR, the main player on the local insolvency market, has put on sale the assets of two pig breeding farms, both located in Iasi County. The cheapest of them, belonging to Robert Farm company, which went into insolvency in 2017, costs 449.000 euros plus VAT - according to data from the CITR website.
The property for sale includes two plots of land within the build-up area, with a total area of 3,100 square meters, respectively 11,800 square meters, buildings, halls, as well as a technological feeding line.
The second farm for raising pigs - Pig Farm - was put up for sale for a price of 1.27 million euros plus VAT. The property in Iasi county includes land plots within the built-up area with an area of 11,300 sqm, respectively 14,300 sqm, as well as buildings and installations. Pig Farm went into insolvency in 2017.
Both Pig Farm and Robert Farm have the same shareholders, namely the Tibucanu family, according to public data. Both are subject to judicial oversight.
Pork producers are going through a tough period from mid-2017, when the first outbreaks of swine fever appeared. The value of pork meat production decreased from 3 billion euros in 2017 to 1 billion in 2019, according to data from the Romanian Meat Association.
