New Agrospecial on the efforts of the Netherlands in multilateral policy
The Netherlands Agricultural Network (LAN) is happy to announce the launch of the 10th edition of the Agrospecial e-magazine ‘Efforts of the Netherlands in multilateral policy’. This digital magazine showcases the work of our colleagues at the Permanent Representations (PermReps) of the Netherlands to different multilateral organisations: the European Union in Brussels, OECD in Paris, the Food Organisations FAO/IFAD/WFP in Rome and WTO in Geneva. It explores the commitment of The Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality in the Netherlands tackling major global challenges in agriculture, fisheries, and biodiversity.
Addressing these global challenges in agriculture and fisheries requires collaborative efforts on a multilateral scale. For instance, biodiversity loss is a pressing global concern that necessitates unified action. Climate change also poses significant threats to the agricultural and fisheries sectors, with its impacts already being felt. While the magnitude of these effects may vary across regions, the overall food security of the world is at risk.
In this digital magazine you can find more insights about the work of the PermReps at these different multilateral organisations. But there is more to read: the impact of the upcoming European elections, the WaPor project, and interviews with LNV Counselor Carla Boonstra, Agricultural Policy Analyst at the OECD Koen Deconinck and head of the Standards and Trade Development Facility (STDF) of WTO Melvin Spreij.
We hope it will inspire the readers to collaborate with them after reading this e-magazine. You can find the latest edition of Agrospecial Efforts of the Netherlands in multilateral policy here.
