Polish egg production is on the rise
Poland, according to the Central Statistical Office (GUS), is the third producer of eggs in the European Union. It is also the second exporter of table eggs in the EU and the second of processed eggs (here the Netherlands leads).
The value of exports has increased, and this is due not only to an increase in egg prices, but also to an increase in volume.
In 2022, Poland exported 222,000 tons of table eggs (up 56% year-on-year) worth €381 million (up 135% year-on-year) with a price increase of 51%
The largest buyers of Polish eggs are:
- the Netherlands (26%),
- Germany (19%) and
- France (11%).
