HPAI: New outbreaks in Poland
On 12/12/2020 the Chief Veterinary Officer informed about 39 in 2020 and the seventh in the second half of this year HPAI outbreak on the holding keeping 9162 fattening turkeys aged 12 weeks.
The farm is located in the municipality of Grodziczno, poviat of the New Town, Warmia-Masuria voivodeship. It is a primary outbreak, the first in the Warmińsko-Mazurskie voivodship in this six months.
On 14/12/2020 the Chief Veterinary Officer informed about three more HPAI outbreaks.
The 40 HPAI outbreak in 2020
The 40 HPAI outbreak in 2020 and the eighth one in the second half of the year was found on a farm where 12,636 slaughter turkeys (female turkeys) were kept, located in Reklinek, Siedlec commune, Wolsztyn poviat, Wielkopolskie voivodeship. The farm is located in an infected area designated in connection with the detection of 37 HPI outbreaks (the fifth on the 5th December 2020).
The 41st outbreak of HPAI in 2020
The 41st outbreak of HPAI in 2020 and the ninth in the second half of the year was found on a farm with 199,106 laying hens at the age of 12-14 weeks. The farm is located in the village of Wielichowo-Wieś, in the Wielichowo commune, in the Grodzisk poviat, in the Wielkopolska voivodship, i.e. in the endangered area designated in connection with the detection of 36 HPAI outbreaks (the fourth on the 4th December 2020).
The 42nd HPAI outbreak in 2020
The 42nd HPAI outbreak in 2020 and the tenth in the second half of the year was found in a farm where 32,965 fattening turkeys (female turkeys) at the age of 9 weeks were kept. The farm is located in an infected area, in the town of Tarnow, in the Rakoniewice commune, in the Grodzisk poviat, in Wielkopolska voivodship. It is a contact point for the bonfire No. 36/2020 (the fourth on the 4th December 2020).
