New outbreaks HPAI in Poland with 4 provinces affected currently
As informed by the CVO in Poland, a H5N8 outbreak in poultry was noted in Dolnoslaskie province (south-west of Poland). Additionally, as informed by local authorities, new H5N8 outbreaks in poultry were noted in Wielkopolskie province (west of Poland).
New outbreaks HPAI in Poland with 4 Polish provinces affected currently
As informed by the CVO, a H5N8 outbreak in poultry was noted in Dolnoslaskie province (south-west of Poland).
Outbreak No. 2020/11 was designated on a farm, which kept 219 poultry of various species (91 laying hens, 41 chicken broilers, 17 geese, 70 ducks), 326 pigeons and 4 parrots. The farm is located in Strupice, in the Chojnów commune, in the Legnica district, in Dolnoslaskie province.
The poultry flock has already been culled and rendered. The Dolnoslaskie (Lower Silesian) Voivode issued a regulation determining, among others protection and surveillance zones in the Legnica and Złotoryja districts.
Additionally, as informed by local authorities, new H5N8 outbreaks in poultry were noted in Wielkopolskie province (west of Poland).
- Outbreak on a farm, which kept app. 150 poultry. The farm is located in Radłow, in the Raszków commune, in the Ostrów district, in Wielkopolskie province
- Outbreak on a farm, which kept app. 120 poultry. The farm is located the town of Słaborowice, in the Ostrów Wielkopolski commune, in the Ostrów district, in Wielkopolskie province. This is a contact farm to outbreak No. 2020/9 where 19.594 reproductive ducks were culled
- Outbreak on a farm, which kept app. 40.000 turkeys. The farm is located in Zapust, in the Ostroróg commune, in the Szamotuły district, in Wielkopolskie province
So far 7 outbreaks of H5N8 in poultry were noted in Wielkopolskie province, out of total 17 outbreaks noted in Poland in 2019/2020.
