Appointment of new Cabinet Secretary at the Ministry of Agriculture in Kenya
The Netherlands embassy in Kenya congratulates Honorable Peter Munya on his appointment as Cabinet Secretary at the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Cooperatives.
Hon. Munya started his new position on 14th January 2020. He was born and raised in Meru country and studied law in Kenya, the United States, and Belgium. After shortly working in the fields of law and academia, Hon. Munya became a member of the Kenyan parliament in 2003. In 2013 he was elected Governor of Meru county. Since 2018, Hon. Munya has been working as a Cabinet Secretary (CS): first at the Ministry of Each African Community & Northern Corridor Development, then at the Ministry of Industry, Trade & Cooperatives, and he currently holds the position of CS at the Ministry of Agriculture.
The Netherlands embassy is looking forward to work together with hon. CS Peter Munya to further strengthen the relationship between the Netherlands and Kenya.
