Scent with Love: a webinar on the Matchmaking between Floriculture and the Wedding Industry
Wedding ceremonies are unthinkable without flowers – they add colour, joy, fragrance and help set the mood for celebration. The value of the global wedding market was reported to be over $300 billion in 2019. Then the virus chaos struck, and wedding celebrations stopped in 2020. But now the global wedding flower market is blooming again.
Dutch and Italian Flowers and the Wedding Industry: A Match made in Heaven
To demonstrate that the global wedding flower market is indeed blossoming again, and to underline the beautiful cooperation between the Dutch and the Italian floricultural sector and the Italian wedding industry, FloraCulture International (FCI) magazine, in collaboration with Bloom's Accademy and with the support of the International Association of Horticultural Producers (AIPH) and Flower Academy Italy, is organising the first free global live-stream wedding flowers industry event, which will take place on Monday 25 October from 4pm to 5.30pm (CET).
The webinar’s charming setting is the historic Villa Mosconi Bertani, in the centre of an unspoiled valley just a few minutes from Lake Garda. It will be the webinar’s elegant backdrop to update the online participants about the global wedding flower market in 2021, the increased demand expected for 2022, and the latest trends in bridal bouquets, boutonnieres, and floral centrepieces.
The Panel of Speakers and the Welcom Address of the Dutch Ambassador
During the event, there will be interviews with Simona Polli, chief editor of the Italian wedding magazine White Sposa, and with top florist and event planner Patrizia Braida from Bloom’s Accademy; the Dutch Ambassador to Italy, his Excellency Willem van Ee, will deliver a welcome address.
Guest speaker Reinier Haasnoot, manager New Business at Dutch floral wholesale company OZ Export (part of Dutch Flower Group), will focus on the value of looking for solutions and ways to improve collaboration between wholesalers, florists and wedding event organisers.
Event organiser Valeria Randazzo from Italy’s leading horticultural trade show Myplant&Garden will be on hand to reveal the first details about the Wedding Pavilion at the forthcoming Myplant show (February 23-25, 2022).
And among the guests there will be Jules Lewis Gibson, President and Creative Director of Florists’ Review Media Group, which has served the floral industry since 1897.
