Are you representing a Dutch company active in the agrifood sector? And do you want to find out more about business opportunities in Albania? Then join the Netherlands Lounge including a B2B matchmaking session and several networking opportunities during the Agriculture Days in Lushnja, taking place from 23 to 25 April 2025. The Agriculture Days are the largest agricultural fair in Albania, which takes place on an annual basis.
Albania's agricultural sector has huge growth potential. With a mild climate, fertile soils and ample availability of water, the country has all the ingredients to sustainably scale up production, especially of vegetables, fruit, olive oil, wine and aromatic and medicinal plants. Moreover, access to the lucrative single market beckons after EU accession, which Albania is working hard on and to which the current government is firmly committed.
To fully capitalize on these opportunities, the Albanian agrifood sector requires further knowledge transfer and the introduction of new technology in both food production and processing. The primary sector will also need to modernize to meet EU production standards as part of the EU accession process. This creates opportunities for Dutch companies.
The Netherlands Embassy in Tirana together with the Netherlands Agricultural Network (LAN) are organizing a Netherlands Lounge during the Agriculture Days in Lushnja. Participating companies will:
- Get a good insight into doing business in Albania in a short time;
- Get a good idea of the opportunities in the agrifood sector in Albania;
- Get access to the Agriculture Days and can use the joint Netherlands Lounge of 20m2, entirely in the characteristic Netherlands branding style;
- Meet with policymakers, key agrifood stakeholders and potential business leads during the exhibition and the networking reception organised by the Embassy;
- Meet potential customers and/or business partner during the tailormade during a B2B matchmaking session;
- Be listed in the participant booklet.
The participation costs are € 500,- per company. Participants will have to cover for their own travel and accommodation costs.
