NUS Community Seed Bank-Ghana

Following our publication on Roles, Trends and Challenges of Neglected and Underutilized Species in Ghana , the agricultural team at the embassy in Ghana partnered with The Alliance for Biodiversity CIAT and The NUS Network Ghana for setting up a pilot community seed bank. The community seed bank which was put up at Adawso Ghana is a vital initiative that aims to promote food security and biodiversity conservation in the region and beyond. 

This publication is a comprehensive report on the project and highlights the steps taken to ensure its successful implementation, exploration of value addition and some useful recommendations.
