Mr Patrick van der Duin (www.stt.nl) took part at LFM 4.0 on 13 September 2017 with presentation about possible scenarios of introduction of disruptive innovations and technologies to agriculture.
Is it possible to assess the prospects of innovation in agriculture exclusively on the overview of the technologies? Patrick van der Duin, director of STT (Netherlands Study Center for Technology Trends), believes that scenarios and forecasting should be used for such an assessment. The presentation of promising technologies in a broad context allows us to see the interaction of technologies and social factors, explore possible barriers and incentives, as well as the overall utility of technological solutions.
